Officers responded to the area of North 4th Street and West Turner Street where they found an adult male victim dead around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Allentown police Assistant Chief Charles Roca.
The man was pronounced dead at 3:07 a.m. by Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Craig Hanzl in the 200 block of North Fourth Street, LehighValleyLive reports.
The man's death was ruled a homicide due to a gunshot wound to the body, LehighValleyLive says.
Police did not immediately release the man's identity as the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are declining any further comment.
